Dr. Scott McKee Northville, MI Death and Obituary: Gone But Never Forgotten

With heavy hearts, we mourn the passing of Dr. Scott McKee, our Senior Pastor, whose life and ministry touched countless individuals across our church and community. His departure leaves a profound void for all who were blessed to know him.

Dr. McKee was more than a pastor—he was a mentor, a guide, and a source of unwavering faith and compassion. Through his teachings, he inspired spiritual growth, encouraged deeper love, and exemplified humility and courage in faith. Yet it was his actions—his kindness, empathy, and servant’s heart—that truly defined his legacy.

He stood beside his congregation in moments of joy and in times of trial, offering prayer, comfort, and guidance. His leadership was grounded in love, and his dedication to God’s work was evident in every life he touched. The impact of Dr. McKee’s ministry will continue to resonate through the hearts he shaped and the community he nurtured.

As we grieve, the church invites members and the wider community to unite in prayer for his family, our staff, and one another. A candlelight vigil will be held tonight, March 27, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. in the chapel—a time for reflection, remembrance, and solace in shared faith.

Though Dr. Scott McKee is no longer with us, his teachings, his spirit, and his love endure in the hearts of all who knew him, serving as a lasting reminder of a life devoted to faith, service, and compassion.

I remember him as always returning a smile to anyone who smiled at him . With his smile, he responded with eye contact and if he was spoken to, he would always stop to exchange words of encouragement. He always spoke highly of his family, and meeting Angiie, his wife. He was highly educated with a Doctors Degree in Theology. He had great knowledge of God s word but, always intermixed humor in his sermons and drew laughter from the congregation. He wanted to live but, God called him home. Rest In Peace Pastor Scott
